Since then, she has been into different fashion events in Addis Ababa, including hub of Africa Fashion Week.

Dance Criteria and Adjudication ; The Categories
Contemporary
Any form of contemporary pieces are allowed (i.e. it can be African contemporary, modern or jazz etc.)
However contestants are expected to present a high level of dance techniques.
Judges will be looking out for balance, strength, flexibility and jumps.
All contemporary pieces are to have a story
Cultural
All dances in this genre MUST be A NIGERIAN Cultural dance.
No CDs or Tapes are allowed in this genre. The music must be played live and the instrumentalist are considered part of the dancers. (i.e. No cultural dance instrumentalist should play for more than one studio.)
Scores will be given for the right costumes and music.
Drummers should not exceed 12 and they are allowed to accompany the dancer in the Solo and Couple Categories.
Dancers in the group category should not exceed 10.

For Autumn Winter 2013, London based label Chichia explores the concept of communication through dress in their dress concept collection. As they offer the 13 key dresses every Chichia girl should have hanging in her closet, details such as multi ruffles, tiered dress bodices and skirts and manipulated style lines are featured throughout the collection in Chichia's signature playful contemporary and easy to wear silhouettes with a refreshingly vibrant colour palette. Quirky details such as stained-glass window inspired patchwork khanga prints are inter-mixed with bead work, sequins, print, solid, and everything in-between.

Ghanaian design label N’Kya Designs launched in 2011 by Sheila Boateng, and this year with its Ohemaa collection, the label is dubbing every woman a queen.
The collection was first showcased at London Fashion Week in February 2013 and according to the label, ‘Ohemaa’ means ‘Queen’ in the Ghanaian language ”Twi”. The collection is strongly influenced by the ‘Obaa’ collection and is inspired by the qualities of a woman and is a reflection of the N’kya woman and the qualities she exudes.

Farai Simoyi was born in London, England, the child of Zimbabwean parents. She lived in Harare, Zimbabwe, where she got her first taste of textiles and fashion, from her aunt’s lingerie company at age five. Her aunt would give her scraps of fabric, which Farai would sew together by hand to make clothes for both her and her dolls. And, thus, her passion for fashion was born.

Born in the 80′s in a village in Nigeria, Jennifer Okolo grew up to nurture her creativity and love for fashion at a tender age when she would salvage her mums scrap cloths and use them to create stunning designs for her numerous Barbie dolls. Though she was studious at school her flare for handicraft was apparent from childhood. She studied Electrical Engineering and Wireless networks, graduated with a BSc and MSc at Queen Mary university of London with distinction and enrolled shortly after at the prestigious central saint martins school of fashion London. After obtaining a certificate in pattern making she returned to Nigeria to start a fashion line called ‘House of Silk’ setting up outlets in Lagos and Abuja Nigeria. Her designs have been spotlighted severally in top-notch magazines like Vogue and Marie Claire and in 2012 she was invited by buyers from Selfridges Oxford street London (UK’s no 1 luxury store) to showcase her designs at seasonal pop.
